The Kiln Photo Workshops provide a creative and inspiring environment for anyone passionate about photography. Enabling you to develop skills in a friendly environment with a community feel.

The Kiln Photo Workshops offer the perfect setting in which to pursue your interest, whether you are an enthusiastic beginner, or looking to progress to photography career.

All the facilities are housed within a stunning listed building in the rural village of Badshot Lea;


Black & White Darkroom


Colour (C-41) & BW Film Processing Room

Photography Darkrooms;
- Black & White Darkrooms (8 enlargers with 135mm, 120 roll films and 5x4 plates. Up to 16x20 in.)
- Black & White Processing Tanks (135mm, 120 roll films, 5x4 plates and 10x8 plates)
- Colour Darkrooms (8 enlargers with 135mm, 120 roll films and 5x4 plates. Up to 20x24 in.)

Photography Studio;
- Fully Equipped Studio (professional flash kits, tungsten lights, backgrounds and studio space)

Digital Suite;
- Macintosh and Microsoft Windows (Adobe Photoshop Elements, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Bridge)
- Epson High-Quality Printer (Epson Stylus Pro 4880, up to A2-width size, with 8 inks)
- Nikon Negative Scanner (Nikon Cool Scan, for negative scanning from 35mm - 120 mm)
- Epson Flatbed Scanner (Epson V7000 Perfection, for negative scanning for 35mm, 120mm, 5x4, & 10x8 plates and any reflective documents up to A4)

Professional Tutors:

Skilled Professionals offer tuition and guidance in all aspects of photography from landscapes, portraits, still life, architecture, fashion, fine-arts and digital.
Embracing a wide range of photographic traditions from the humble pinhole, sun-prints to the latest digital methods, we tailor classes and teach individually to meet your needs.
